Terms of Use
The rules that apply when you use the Club's website, its member portal and its matchmaking engine.
Last updated — September 24, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and the Las Vegas Belgian Business Club, a Nevada nonprofit corporation in formation. By using this website, the member portal or the matchmaking engine, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the services.
Where you use the services on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company, and “you” means both you and that company.
2. Accounts
Access to the member portal requires an account. You give accurate information when you register, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials confidential.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has used it.
Accounts are personal. Sharing an account between people, or across companies, is a breach of these terms.
3. Acceptable use
Use the services for genuine business purposes connected with the Club. Do not use them to send unsolicited bulk messages, to harvest member details for a mailing list, to resell access, or to promote a business opportunity the Club has not approved.
Do not attempt to gain access to an account, system or data you are not authorised to reach, and do not scrape, crawl or copy the member directory by automated means.
Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing, and do not misrepresent your company, your role or your mandate.
The Club's Code of Conduct applies to your conduct in the portal, in the matchmaking engine and at Club events.
4. The matchmaking engine
The matchmaking engine uses automated analysis to rank members and invited guests by their relevance to the need you describe. It is a suggestion tool.
The Club does not verify the claims a member makes about its own business, does not endorse any member, and gives no warranty that a match will produce a commercial outcome. Any relationship, negotiation or contract that follows an introduction is between the parties concerned, and the Club is not a party to it.
Introductions are made with the agreement of both sides. You may decline an introduction without giving a reason.
5. Referral programme
The referral programme is described on the Club's website and its rules form part of these terms. The Club may change the rewards, the tiers or the qualifying conditions on notice to participants; a change does not affect a reward already earned.
A referral qualifies only where the referred contact was not already known to the Club, and where the referred contact consents to being contacted. Referring someone who has asked not to be contacted disqualifies the referral.
6. Content and intellectual property
The Club owns, or is licensed to use, the content, design, name and marks of this website and of the portal. You may not copy or reuse them beyond what these terms allow.
You keep ownership of what you publish. By publishing it to the directory or the matchmaking engine you give the Club a non-exclusive licence to display it to other members and invited guests for the purposes of running the Club.
7. Dues, fees and events
Membership dues and event fees are stated on the website and are payable in advance. Dues are not refundable, in whole or in part.
The Club may change its published dues; a change takes effect at your next renewal.
The Club may cancel or reschedule an event. Where an event with a separate fee is cancelled and not rescheduled, that fee is refunded.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account, and the Club may suspend or terminate your membership, if you breach these terms or the Code of Conduct, or if your dues are unpaid.
You may stop using the services at any time and may resign your membership by written notice to the Secretary.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The services are provided as they stand. The Club does not warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, and does not warrant the accuracy of information a member publishes about itself.
Nothing the Club publishes is legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Take your own advice before you commit.
To the extent permitted by law, the Club's total liability to you in connection with the services is limited to the dues you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and the Club is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts sitting in Clark County, Nevada have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed, and we tell members by email when a change materially affects them. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept it. Questions go to legal@lvbbc.org.
